I spend some amount of time thinking about how to preserve all my data. I have 4 8TB hard drives full.
Movies, TV Shows, games and countless other stuff.
It is precious to me and I want to keep it but the more I think about how, the more difficult the whole thing seems.
I will need to buy 4 new 8TB hard drives to do a RAID setup, but that will cost $2000. Plus whatever other stuff I would have to buy to build a NAS or DAS.
And my 4 HDDs are almost full so really I need to buy 2 more than that. And my original 4 HDDs are several years old already and really should be replaced before they fail.
It all makes me feel a bit overwhelmed. So much money.
