Wifi isn't the grunt and requires very little processing power to maintain a network stack
and smaller GPUs in smaller devices still require a physically close proximity to deliver the processing power hence being an integration as in integrated circuit
but I like the idea and probably will be reality in the future
You can separate power for charging easily enough but anything requiring reasonable processing power will be embedded in the device per physics laws
that's my understanding at least and if I am wrong then that is that
disregard my opinion
