I wear fancy button-on ones with my suits that way, but my every day suspennders I wear over a singlet but under my tshirt and hoodie, so they are mostly invisible.
That means if you are taking a shit you need to basically undress.
Also if you catch one of the snaps, you have to either undress or root around for ten minutes trying to find the lose end and reattach it.
