The food bank was staffed almost entirely by women. Most of them were older and they all had a sort of shabby and mildly intellectually disabled vibe. They mumbled and I had to keep asking them to repeat themselves because I couldn't understand them. I told the lady on the door where you sign in that it was my first time there but that didn't spur her into explaining anything to me. I had to ask her questions to find out how things worked and she mostly just grunted in reply. I think it is an example of Monk's longhouse in there. These are the types of women that are in charge.
