Probably a variety of causes. If I didn't have a dog or animal throughout parts of my life, I would've gotten lonely and sad. This country has terrible mental health support. As much as I dislike Burger lands health system, as least you can get access to mental health treatment next day. Here it can take days/weeks/months.
