I recognise a lot of the materials and methods. You dont just set out to make a bow, you must make the things to make the bow first. I did all that and it was a long process that needed a lot of improvement. The whole "art" to it aspect makes me think that with some proper calculations and modelling the sadly inefficient primary design could make huge gains. I suppose thats what the compound bows address. I dont like them. I like the aesthetics of the straight long bow but its efficency is shit. I never shot the bow I made. i was into making arrows too and that's almost as much work.
