Programmers tend to get overboard with the metaphors or whatever this practice is called. Like with hashing algorithms. All right so the make a "hash" from stuff, but then to be able to use them in a secure way they figured out to add soem random data and called it "salt". And then there was some tard who thought it's still insecure so he figured it would be better to add some more crap and he called it "pepper"...
So when that senior dev says its enough, I don't think he is the retarded one.
