I usually rock a set of overalls and button up tight to keep the badness out but i wear thru them and have to make new ones. I am modding a wool and nomex flight suit slowly but its a wierd shade of green and not great for blending in dispite the nutria brown patches on the legs and the hood i attached. I am thinking to make a set with nutria brown legs and special color flanno, like two tone green and black or grey tartan that way I can have the best of both worlds and look like a hillbilly as well as it being basically perfect for standoff camo in the treeline where I usually work. Was thinking i would go as far as extending the tartan top over my hips to mimic a untucked flanno. Overalls are the best I always used them since I was a kid and got my hands on SES surplus.
I only recently started sewing hoods on them which is a massive help to keep the continual rain of bark and tiny leaves out of your suit. I stepped up my game and now have a pattern for hoods i copied off a gorka pattern field jacket i also like to wear in the bush.
