Doesn't match my experience at all. It's perhaps very slightly more noisy than just-applied squirt, but evens out after a while. Slightly easier to keep re-applying squirt of course but that also means build-up of squirt-gunk. The trade-off is a no-brainer imo (plus better parts longevity).
