>In an Instagram statement, Bernal addressed the rumors. "I wanted to share some thoughts with you about where I stand right now, both personally and professionally. First of all, I have a contract with the team running through 2029, and for now, my intention is to start the upcoming season," the 29-year-old rider began.
>Bernal did not race again this season after the Tour de France. "I felt I needed some time for myself—to rest, relax, and regain the sense of calm that gets lost in the fast pace of the sport," said Bernal, who held discussions about his future with his team and those around him. "I want to give myself the time and space I need to approach what lies ahead with the same conviction and dedication."
