ramp test outside of a lab with breathing gas analysis and/or lactate analysis is just guessing innit, if your anaerobic capacity is big it'll overestimate and if it's small it'll underestimate

Using any test and then if necessary adjusting so the pacing for efforts works out is the best course of action either way
