You think your average moldavan "bike repairman" will spend time investigating mysterious sound?

Anyway, the more I investigate, the more I don't know, it is either the pedal or the shoe:
Symptomps:
>leatherly sound, not metallic
>follows rotation
>the higher power, the lower cadence, the more obvious
>doesn't happen all the time (!), can start occuring middle of the ride

I replaced the spindle with original one and could hear a similar sound, indicating it is probably the shoe (but what? i thoroughly recleaned the cleats and everything)
Then I lubed the assioma spindle, put it back, did a test and didn't hear the sound.

My shoes are about 6 years old, some mid range shimano (black colour of coursh)
