Komondor is a large dog, Puli is medium sized. Both shepherd breeds, but different roles. Puli was for herding specifically, Komondor to guard the herd from wolves. Same for kuvasz. Tho not necessarily just for sheep, but next to pigs, goats, cattle, even horses.
There are a number of other Hungarian breeds, pumi, kopó, vizsla, agár. Some of them are a subtype of "international" breeds, like hound and pointer.
