The problem is that among syncretists, they honestly believe it and even lie about where they get their sources. Freemasonry is full of said liars just like in many "new age" cults inspired by the very person that coined "Christ Consciousness", a Jesuit. That's the exoteric melting pot that is always is the means that some malevolent being use to push one narrative over another. Although I do adhere to a "metareligion" in a purely metaphysical context of conveying things through a story that is beyond the face value literal interpretation, I don't attribute how one religion's method of explaining a deep concept to be one to one equivalent explanation that's also found in another religion even though the core principle held between and independently from each other is an inevitable divinely inspired phenomenon, it doesn't therefore mean that one religion copied from another unless proven otherwise with undeniable facts. There are some cults (I use "cult" as a neutral term) that do expressively take certain concepts from other cults but they also express how and why their way is different. This is only harder to tell in any hierarchical system that's in place to keep unwanted people from interfering with their affairs with is reasonable for any cult to have some societal immunity of influence from the world, but at the same time, the pond scum always rises to the top and inverts the system on its head, whether through a gradual system of brainwashing, or just a total and permanent restructuring from the inside out. You need to have some sense of detachment from one's own ambivalence to these matters if you really want to see things for how it really is because the only kind of "stress" that you'd get is in getting sucked into their mess instead of seeking independence from the very things that bothers you and focus on what actually matters in your life.
