>>47655I'm sorry to read that, Bernd. I have my share of being left
I know nothing about cheating, but in case of breaking relationships in many cases the one who breaks it up at least has someone else in mind, but such is life. There is a saying that I can recall exactly right now, but means better have the experience then not have it at all. There are good things and feelings to remember, and the bad we should step over and move on.
My advice is to confront her, and see what she has to say. I also advise to breaking up - because once cheated, repeating it becomes easier, plus there might be loss of respect -, but it can be done elegantly and head held up high after hearing her out, don't need to be petty even if it hurts what she did.
>friendsMy experience is that as time goes on friends drift away. Life gives all of us many things to do. Not to mention many of us careless enough not to tend to friendships. Besides many people are rather act on its own interests, and if they see no gain, then just pass on.
As we get older it is harder and harder to make new friendships, because being busy and less opportunities to do such adventures together that forge the bonds of friendship.
It also feels as a problem in our societies on larger scale, the individualization, isolation.
I don't think it will get better.
What we can do, is strengthen ourselves to deal with shit alone, plus seek out those who are reliable, and also be reliable ourselves. And offer our help to others in need.
