Immediately after the election results were out, Supreme Court justice Moraes ordered Flávio BolsoJr. to hand over his passport so he wouldn't leave the country to escape ongoing proceedings on a money laundering case. He announced he'd comply, packed his bags, fled overland to Argentina and flew to Miami. Note that there isn't an actual arrest warrant on him yet.
Flávio is a senator and a senator from Rio de Janeiro at that, so he's most likely guilty in at least a few of the criminal proceedings against him. He's much more of a traditional politician than his father, in every good and bad sense. But the timing leaves the impression Moraes would've kept the case on slow boil if Flávio had won.
