As far as capitalism - that is not a perfect system, but at least it is more democratic and consumers are granted more freedom and have more say. But there are two problems with capitalism: the super rich can easily subvert capitalism and turn it into communism or fascism or socialism or an oligarchy ... that, and it can be easily compromised by corruption via wealthy powerful institutions and influential political lobbyists. The later is what happened to the United States before we became a full-blown socialist country (30-some years ago, btw).
