I am honestly quite close to just accepting that it is a lost cause and not caring too much about it. My posts about thinking about figuring out what dog breed I will get in 10 years from now rather than continue trying to find a girlfriend were more genuine than they might've let on 😼
<it's hard to articulate why I think this is a thing worth even caring about
>We've been talking about my weight for years at this point
I meant the general idea of hiding genuine problems behind irony to lessen the severity of them. its like using euphemisms, sure they work in the moment but in the long run they probably do more harm than good. You might genuinely have wanted to lose weight for years but, at least in my eyes, as long as you keep saying "lose wait", you are telling yourself that it's not that serious and thus will never give it the diligence that is required

But, I am a big example of the "A person who thinks all the time has nothing to think about except thoughts. So he loses touch with reality, and lives in a world of illusion." quote
This might not be how it actually is in real life for people, I just assume it is because that is what would make sense at a glance and according to my theories in the moment
