I was too lazy to write my own implementation (and also other things (chiefly amongus them was that my code was tiresome to maintain)) so I just started using the cave one.
Check out the "get_source_encode" in utils.py.txt (endchan decided that .py is VĨRÜS), it's basically all you need.
