Because they're really dumb and do not notice the pattern (you get drunk, you argue, nothing gets resolved and everything gets worse)
I genuinely don't understand people that drink and get angry, it's literally the worst possible idea.
If you're prone to anger outbursts you should just not unless you know you're not in the kind of mood that will lead to that.
