It's most probably stretch into bi-linear interpolation (it's called geometric mapping so I'm not sure what the program actually does except for the interpolation part)

I don't know enough about the filters to tell you exactly what that one is but I do not think it's a really new one either, you just have to know things like these exist and have the know-how to use them.
