But the specific Ilse Koch spectacle, the lampshades, shrunken heads, tattooed skins trotted out as her personal collection of horrors, was the emotional payload. This isn't isolated to Buchenwald or Ilse Koch. It's how the broader sacred cow gets reinforced. Select the most shocking (and false) elements, deploy them through psychological warfare channels, suppress inconvenient context (Morgen, Koch execution by SS, physical mismatches, shaved-head inconsistencies), and let the emotional weight carry the rest. The rape/impregnation detail on Ilse in custody is especially ugly. Victors writing the rules rarely hold themselves to the same standards they impose. The Psywar fingerprints are all over the "documentation" phase. The evidence and the inconsistencies speak for themselves.
