Alright, just saw G5. First impressions are good, better then it could've been. I am moderately more bullish on G4 and connections to FiM but I still think it'll be restricted by a more "kid friendlY" mainstream tone. The movie certainly isn't very woke (I mean, FiM even in early seasons hit stronger plot points then this), but was woke framed, which is a term I am coining now to explain what happens when something is put through a double lie of being presented as woke while not being very woke (but I mean this distinctly from Disney putting Queer Characters and having them kiss in the background and trying to present it as a mildstone). I... I'll have to write a mini essay on this later.

Anyway, I will try to get out a full review some other time soon for details. Simplied condensed version is: Pipe Weakest Character. Suprisely avoided toxic LOLRandom tone with Izzy. Sunny is good. Hitch is okay. Zipp of all may have been the most complex and most well done for breif introductions. Locations I am mixed on. Zephyr Hights if it is built on top of Canterlot is cool. Bridlewood felt a little dull compared to what it could be but I am interested in why the unicorns are there and not Canterlot (kicked out by Pegasi?) and Maritime Bay was blandish. Animation is uncanny at points but only with some characters. I still dislike modern tech but it itself isn't the reason to dislike this on it's own (more on that later too).
