The name of the new G5 series will be called Make Your Mark. Will be out in September. No information other then it will be just 8 episodes which feels understandable for a 3d CGI series if they are going on a higher quality but I, if I actually get into this series, will be annoyed by. So still a bit of a wait, but...
A new G5 special, also called Make Your Mark comes to us this May 26. No more info other then name on this as well.
And even sooner then that we apparently get a new 2D series called Tell Your Tail. It's going to be on Youtube and in a format similar of Pony Life being 5 minuet shorts. It's has a little brief second or two preview of the animation that was posted to instigram that I have uploaded with this post. My thoughts on this are simple: just from that 5 second sample makes me not hopeful for any quality from here at all. Actually, it looks way worse then Pony Life's animation. Now, I probably shouldn't judge just based truly on such a short preview but I can't help but feel like this will be bottom of the barrel.
New comic series of course is coming too, apparently the first comic is going to have a plot on finding Canterlot so their goes all those theories on Canterlot being Zephyr Heights (probably). Don't have much to say on this other then I can see a arrangement where most of the G4 connections being brought up in the comic over the shows themselves to keep them relatively "evergreen" and free of complex intertangledness.
