>Lot of people want to classify it as TurboLeftNazi but in reality it has been held, however uncomfortably, to close to the status quo always sucky, with egotistical mods stuck up in their own arrogance and world view with little organic changes to policy in either direction.

Yeah, that tag is biased but really understandable during the Derpigate episodes that caused a lot of controversy, it caught everyone off guard and their choices turn out to be
very questionable at its best, utterly incompetent at its worst. But when it comes to censorship as a whole, I cannot tag Derpi as the most intrusive considering that there was a faction that even desired a greater amount of censorship than TSP´s crew. So, not even in their own game, another front would arise and would become a harsher version than the management that occured in 2020.

>I believe the owner of it even called it quits recently if I recall right.
Confirmed.

>Would that make the staff more intrusive? Or would it's blatant ignoring of the copyright system make it freer and the staff less intrusive overall?

Well, then we could question about the exact placement that these sites be located in the ranking of intrusiveness. I have pondered about Twibooru as well yet I guess that said restriction diminishes the censorship that could come from the staff members. It´s like setting up a barrier so it prevents any questionable choice that comes from its staff members. I put Ponybooru in the middle because it stands as the main competitor that strives to become its direct alternative. For now, I have put a provisional placement (which can be perfectly arguable according to the actions that occur over time, reforms, changes in the lineup...) so don´t take this as the absolute truth but rather a first approximation towards the matter.

>Is it perfect data? No. Lots of ways we could intemperate this and I imagine there could be some criticism of Alexa's rankings itself by some.
One should always take this with a grain of salt. However, that´s the best source which I could have relied on (because there would be more skewed data if I used the amount of users for each site. That would even become instantly invalid because of the amount of multiple/inactive accounts) so, I have simply had no other choice but AWS and its public data. Whether you find Amazon as a questionable company for its actions, that´s another matter on its own but these numbers display an approximate idea for checking out the evolution of each booru.
