I recently went to e621. This is, incidentally where I went to originally found out that "MLP" had been restarted with a new "look" But still, those images were OC portraits, and some fan-work of the implications of some of the dropped lines by the mane6.

When I went there recently, the mlp tags led to a great many images tagged screencap, and not "edited" screencaps.
I refer to those YT vids subtitled "make your mark", and it would seem to me upon at least a cursory glance, that whole episodes are uploaded but across a hundred screen captures per episode. And which episode the 'cap came from is also usually tagged.

Other times, "screen cap" refers to the fact the image board was capped, or a pony encountered a 'cap of something from our world.
Still, whole episodes is what I maintain.
