While true, keep in mind that derpi has been around the longest, it doesn't seem probable that someone would redownload/rename every pony pic they saved just so it would point to the booru they use now, so it won't be very reliable for a long while.

Well, I think that censorship is kind of strong word for this but I can't say I'm fan of this decision. It won't really achieve anything (except the yandex bot which I don't know how much of an issue is). Russians already have Putin blocking everything he doesn't like including Tor, if he would really like to make them revolt then he should rather host Tor bridge instead to give them more access to outside information.
