>What do I want to convey with this? Well, no matter what you use (even for gen 5), this species can ADD UP to the original material and fuse it smoothly with this concept. As long as the basic characteristics remain there, it can be considered as a well-settled standard that adds more content for the characters themselves while also adding up to the species on its own.
This has been my main enjoyment of Seaponies. Less so with Sequestria or the Hippogriffs/Seapony species and more so with other characters being seaponified. Mane 6 and princesses especially. I think some of the princesses have shown some of the interesting concepts one could take with this species if one wanted. You have already posted some, like Luna over here, >>7903 but pics related are some of my absolute favorites!

>This species doesn´t exclude anything nor anyone so, it is absolutely malleable for the purposes that any artist can
A aspect I would argue is still underrated. Them and their setting could be more exploited and the underwater theme feels like it is just a background noise most of the time. I think ponies like deep sea inspired Luna really show a potentially darker take one could go (to mention her again, twice in a single post).

I suppose, like I have heard mentioned before elsewhere on water having a stigma against it due to gamers having PTSDs on water levels. I have been mixed on how much this has been a factor. I mean, growing up I enjoyed such things as the Bonicle 2007's Toa Mahri theme and that was a darker take of under sea. There certainly has been examples of underwater themed stuff that has a cult following and or generally well liked status (I mean, Echo the Dolphin, some things with Atlantis? Pirates and such certainly can flirt with or have underwater stories, especially if fantasy is involved.) I suppose though I could be in a vast minority and the stigma matters more as a factor as opposed to all the ingredients being present but it failing due to other factors.

Speaking of stigma. One stigma that I due think might be a factor was the species having been till recently of a severe meme and joke status. I think the movie lifted them in status for sure but I do wonder if that played any roll in a slightly cooler reception among the fandom.
(A essay earlier at the beginning of this thread does go into this some:>>6660).

Factor or not, I still think that the species is less so handicapped and more so hobbled by a few external circumstances. More slightly unlucky. Even then...
>Back in later 2017, there was barely any material to share over here. Therefore, the length of an average thread wouldn´t be enough for fulfilling the standards by posting good quality pictures of this species all the way through
I certainly feel more competent now than 2017.
