For example, the Oversight Committee has recently released information showing Joe Biden received money originating from China via yourself and Hunter Biden.6 On November 1, 2023, the Oversight Committee released a Fourth Bank Records Memorandum, which revealed that you issued a $40,000 check from your personal bank account to Joe Biden, originating from Chinese money demanded by Hunter Biden as part of a deal with CEFC, a Chinese energy firm with close ties to the Chinese Communist Party.7 The Committee has also identified your company, the Lion Hall Group, as receiving significant payments from Hudson West III.8 This and additional payments the Oversight Committee has identified represent approximately a quarter of a million dollar benefit to the President based on his family’s business dealings, and the Committees require you to provide details of these payments and other related matters.

For example, bank records show that in March 2017 Robinson Walker, LLC wired $25,000 to you, which originated from an entity affiliated with the Chinese energy company CEFC, State Energy HK Limited.6 Through a similar series of complicated financial transactions, Joe Biden also received proceeds from CEFC entities in 2018.7 Additionally, you received $10,000 from the Robinson Walker, LLC account in February 2017 after payments from a Cypriot company— Bladon Enterprises Limited—controlled by the Romanian business associate of Hunter Biden, Gabriel Popoviciu.8 The Committees seek to understand the services you and others provided to these foreign nationals and their companies in connection with these payments.
