True. "Loan but black and opposite" would've been fine as a start but quickly expanded upon into being a good friend to Loan with her own hobbies, personality, mindset, etc... It's somewhat seen earlier in some of Pat's drawings of her. I get you, Gordon being associated with her didn't signal alot going on. I somewhat feel different about Gordon, in the thought that he falls in the same boat as Gabi; not much development and limited to being the black friend with opposite mindset.
