Pat has never been good at character development but Gordon really felt like a token black friend who served no other purpose than to be that. And it didn't help he kinda came off... borderline stereotypical? Meanwhile, Gabi was completely underdeveloped and it didn't help there's people who didn't like the idea of Loan having a friend, which is stupid.
