Well, here's the idea I have.

Gabi and her family have moved near where Lori lives with Lincoln.
Since Loan is technically the first Sinkid if we only count the Louds, it’s likely that the Louds’ incest isn’t known yet.

But anyway, Loan is a shy girl at first and does pretty well in school. Maybe that’s why some of the bullies at school take advantage of her and pick on her.
And that’s when Gabi steps in to push them away and make them stop bothering her.

Loan is at least grateful to have someone to help her in those situations.

Both families have gotten to know each other while the girls play together, and Loan is happy playing with her new friend.

Years go by until her family has to move due to family circumstances.

And Loan is left alone.
