Why does your 'business partner' (is she bestie mom?) weed your yard? My father loves doing this and he has an Alice-tier aversion against certain plants he just weeds out wherever he comes across them. Be it my garden, a total stranger's or a public park. He's also autistic about removing all even remotely brown leaves, often severely damaging the plants by ripping them off. He genuinely wants to help, but he helps whether people want or not. And he really gets mad if you tell him to stop, because then you're an ungrateful bastard. Well, he's almost 90 and isn't going to change.

Me, I would never freak out, but I would definitely ruminate and hold a grudge. Touching other people's property without permission is not acceptable. I'm not Alice, who holds grudges and maintains death lists for the most minuscule reasons, but still...

I like being attached to things. Lack of attachment leads to indifference. And indifference leads to communism. Or buddhism, which is just as bad. Buddhists are hypocritical liars. So tell me, where do you draw the line? If a nigger steals a large sum of money? Burns your house down? Rapes your girl friends? Will you remain calm and tell yourself the attachment to all this was your fault? I would go another route and say it's not about you, but about society. You shoot the looting rapenigger not (only) because he hurts you, but because he hurts society. This is why you have to punish wrongdoing from the perspective of general prevention. For the same reason the wacky weeder must be confronted with her deed. Not because she ripped out a weed but because she did something in another person's property she was not asked to. And enabling such behavior brings us one step closer to anarchy - or communism.
