Unthinkable on the Germany. You can't even use BTi outside of artificial waterbodies because it's harmful to aquatic life. And aquatic life is more important than people. Same for releasing non-native fish that would eat the larvae. Strictly verboten. There's some monitoring with traps but that's it. We'll see if that changes once the mosquitos start transmitting diseases. For now the threat is hypothetical but it's only a matter of time.
