How do you roll anon? I did mountain for a bit, fun stuff.

Well, I know a goddamn lot of people that go biking, so I owe this board something. Let's make it a storytime.

>Go to the '12 hour race' with father and friends who were competing
>in a private property, most likely rented
>chilly and a little bit innawoods, great place
>race track was circling the entire property
>race started around 7pm
>some guys are gonna go race alone, others make teams
>asleep by 2am because I'm a fag
>woken up by 3am
>race is cancelled because the participants are getting their bikes robbed at gun point
>everyone packs up, has some people mount guard while others sleep
>the end

I think the grand total was like 50.000 dollars stolen in that time, semi-pro and very passionate people attended. Such is having a passion while in the 3rd world.

I've been (road-)cycling seriously for a little more than a year now and it's exceptionally fun.
I still don't have the confidence to participate in amateur races because there seem to be a lot of people that are very serious about them and I don't feel like I would be able to keep up.

If I kept going I would work my ass off just to gift one of these to a friend that is the epitome of normalcy that started up in mountain last year.
I might be coming off as 'mountain is where the stuff is at' but it has just been more prominent due to insecurity in the roads.
