dread was more like a cancer to the dnmarket community. centralizing trust, which is more sacrosanct than anything endchanner lurkers and trolls could ever contribute to the hidden service community also.

I go back and forth on the trust thing with Dread. Their work towards dismantling scams and shit markets has been valuable to the community, but now they're in a position where way too many people think they're great and awesome and perfect and can *totally* be trusted. If the carding community has taught me anything over the years, it's that forum admins take down a fuckload of people with them when they fall. All the unencrypted PMs and metadata Dread is in possession of are going to destroy the DNM community when they finally fall for good.
