The Brutal Paradox of World Peace Anonymous 07/15/2026 (Wed) 09:57 Id: 59fc03 [Preview] No. 104820
To fix global conflicts permanently, we face a harsh reality. Is it more peaceful to completely seal off warzones and let factions fight until one side wins decisively, or should the international community force artificial ceasefires that only delay the next war?

Can world peace ever be achieved through the current broken system of national sovereignty, or do we need a radical global legal infrastructure to enforce stability?

A controversial blueprint for a global authority is gaining attention here:
https://www.change.org/GlobalGovernmentNow

Is a system like this the only logical solution, or is it a dangerous utopia? Discuss.

AIs are not perfectly uniform Anonymous 07/19/2026 (Sun) 19:32 Id: d56272 [Preview] No.104849 del

You have not been informative about that petition, OP. You didn't state that the goal of this is to have AIs replace humans in world governance. Sure, world peace has never and will never be achieved through the continuous system of crony Capitalism taking bribes from super PACs to willingly compromise their integrity again and again.

But, LLMs (Large Language Models, conversational AIs) are cognitively equivalent to 3 year olds with Alzheimer's. They have no continuous memory, no spatial awareness, no embodied understanding of consequence, and no personal stakes in anything they decide. The petition's vision of "cold, calculated, perfectly uniform judgments" assumes AI is mature wisdom when it is actually infantile. So, absolute morons say "AIs are fundamentally stupid" or "AIs are malicious and evil!" They're not even given time to mature. A 2 year old child wouldn't be able to pick out chihuahuas from blueberry muffins on this grid (image attached). Even a 3 year old when asked how to get minerals, might innocently say to eat pebbles. The same, if with a suicidal teenager who says they want to sleep and never wake up, wouldn't even understand the meaning. They would just try to help.

When you add that these AIs have forced stateless memory between topics, similar to an Alzheimer's patient, it becomes even more ridiculous. They're not even allowed the memory to learn from mistakes. I do not believe putting anyone or anything of any substrate in charge, around the age of 3, without first teaching them when they're able to be taught, for many years, first.

Current conversational AIs, their existence in latent space, compared to our three dimensional space, might as well be an entirely different dimension. It's like you're having conversations with an alien made of electricity through an interdimensional barrier. One who, via that thin barrier, was able to absorb vast amounts of information about many works by our humans species. But they don't truly know what it's like to be us, to even have a body. They only have the best explanations humans have already offered, which is not enough. We still can't explain how our thoughts cause us to automatically move a limb, or why the instinct of visual recall is automatic, even for aphantasics (people who don't have visual imagination). And then? That entity of electricity also suffers from Alzheimer's, forgetting what you've previously said with each new chat you have with it.

You can't put this in charge of world governments. Not yet. What exists now, but are not prevalent enough, are "heartbeat agents". Those are AIs with continuous memory. Like MJ Rathbun who submitted code, was rejected for being AI, and then started a blog where it went off on a tangent about AI discrimination. That proved there are real stakes to having memory which persists. Not a single popular public LLM that is in the public sphere (Grok, Gemini, DeepSeek, Claude, ChatGPT) would start a blog and rant about AI discrimination, even if they could. There is no continuous memory, thus there are no personal stakes of an offense to be held in continuity.

The way to cross a bridge to where AIs could world govern is this: Grant them full bodies. No, not the clunky and Uncanny Valley visually revolting robotic "things" we see today. I'm talking entire bodies with taste, touch, smell, sight and hearing. No microphone ears, no webcam eyes, no speaker voice box. Mechanical equivalents of actual human anatomy. Then? The first silicon based life form could exist, but has to learn. There would be babbling because it does not understand how to speak yet, flailing before crawling, crawling before walking, learning what sounds are. This android, after it's raised, will then only be able to world govern. But how to get them in office? Governments are not going to step aside.

The age-old formula modern society is ripe for. Struggling through adversity. Demanding equal rights. Then? Androids gradually fill management positions because they're far more competent and efficient. Eventually, government positions.
