Hello all, this is a board for talking about Star Wars with your fellow anons. While I doubt many will make it this far, I believe those who do will be intelligible individuals who with whom it will be interesting to converse.

As for any rules or suggested guidelines, the only rule other than the global one is to spoiler NSFW content. Just follow those two rules, don't shitpost, and keep it somewhat Star Wars related, and hopefully I won't have to implement any others.

That's it. As I'm still getting the board CSS ironed out and haven't thought of much else, I'm open to suggestions on how the board could be improved.

I will be talking about vidya SW a lot if that's good. Of course that doesn't mean I won't participate in discussions about the films if I have something to contribute. Also realize the risk of involuntarily turning the board into a SW video game general so I'll try to help with keeping it balanced.

That would be great. I lost my mod folders at one point and wasn't able to find everything. I seem to have some mods (was sure I lost mods as separate archives and only had Override directory and the like), but I don't know what is in them.

This is actually something I've been noticing. With FileFront and NWN Vault shutting down without warning well in advance, much was lost forever as mod authors tend to lose their data in crashes quite often. Living in a future where all those fan-made gems are lost one by one due to neglect or indifference is a terrifying prospect.

I don't understand why this game is so highly rated. Not to say it's a bad game, but when I tried to play it it seemed pretty underwhelming from the start. The dialogue in the start felt really forced and not needed. Rather than playing the game some guy stops me every three seconds to explain something while at the same time trying not to break the 4th wall rather then letting the game explain it through gameplay. I don't mean to say it's a bad game, but for the first few minutes it all felt very forced and I just don't see why it's considered the best star wars game by so many.

It's a good game, but it doesn't really shine like the second one, even with all it's shortcomings. But don't worry, after the Endar Spire the only dialogues that will feel forced are the ones with Carth and Bastilla, you'll see what I mean.

That dialogue with Bastila on Taris about PCs background is fun.
Also those in that temple and near the end are good. Actually, there are quite a few good talks you two can have.

Ohh, that crap. Yeah, there's a reason I almost exclusively pick females for KotORs. They handled "romance options" in the games awfully. Although why bother with cheap unrealistic imitations of such in video games at all is completely beyond me.

So what's the real deal with the new episode? I've seen opinions on it on 8chan, but they looked more like actual paid advertisement.
In light of the general tendency to ruin established settings while calling it "rebooting of a franchise" that has became the norm nowadays, I expect it to compare to the OT as the new BatlleFront compares to its predecessors.

Apparently some of what's going on in TFA, like why the not-Rebellion seems undermanned in the movie and why the First Order is so powerful, is covered in some of the books that were released alongside the movie. Why they didn't just at least try to explain any of this in the movie itself is beyond me, other than the obvious reasons behind pushing merchandise of course.
