>>78236>yeah idk why he's even talking in this thread, i like laptops, i should be here, stop pretending that i am nothing but an asshole who otherwise doesn't try to contribute to the thread.
is a complicated feeling, you are probably to inexperienced to relate. i want op to have his dream come true but i also wish he was smarter.
>all he needs for e-ink is some $200 refurbished laptop if it was that easy i would just take some old thinkpad i have around, take out the screen, add my screen in a frankenstein way but the problem is that this is using too much power.
when the monitor literally draws 0,5 watt while other monitors draw 5-10 watt, i am not gonna just use some old thinkpad that runs at ~25watt and then have the total poweroutputbe 25,5watt. that's silly.
i want to pair it with something that is as ridiculously power-efficient so i can power the whole thing of any powerbank regardless how weak. a computer so low in energy consumption i never feel like wasting electricity when just leaving it on all day. that way i could stop using smartphone alltogether most days and i believe smartphone to be shit.
>meanwhile a lot of use do power-demanding things
