>>51425Foobar2000 is an absolute necessity for me, unfortunately. I have a huge music collection with genres ranging from the 1920s and beyond: foxtrot, big band, jazz, doo wop, reggae, classic rock, classic pop, rock'n roll, hard rock/metal, techno, orchestral, blues, country, classical, opera, funk, easy listening, avantgarde et al. Big time and long time collection of music. The linux operating systems I tried worked very well I must admit.... but none of them (
even with Wine installed!) would open Foobar2000. For big music collections like mine you need that software, it loads very quickly with ease, the numerous search and playlist options are amazing and it is far better than anything Linux systems have available for the time being (by far). I've tried so many including VLC, Rhythmbox, Audacious, Silverjuke, Qmmp, (etc) but none compares to Foobar2000 or it's ability to load quickly with ease and search through tens thousands upon hundred thousands of files in mere seconds.
