Golden age of TV was 50s, 60s and 70s. Most the shows and sitcoms I watch are from those great eras. 80s had some good shows but that was the begging of the decline. There are only a very few shows after the year 2000 worth watching and absolutely nothing worth watching now days. I cut cable TV service way before the whole "cable cutting" movement, even before streaming existed. My VHS and DVD collections are massive LOL.

Fucking everything about modern 'America' sucks. The best quality utilities all made decades ago. The most entertaining shows and movies to watch, same thing, all mostly old shows and movies with very few modern exceptions. The educational system was far better decades ago, it's completely broken today. Decades ago crime was far lower across much of the country, today nearly all cities are third world and it has even spread to the suburbs where you need security cameras outside and deadbolt locks on every door. You could work two jobs today and barely afford rent or a mortgage anymore. Back in the day every family could afford food on the table, now many families have to ration what they eat. The internet was an exception... for a while, endless access to information and media. With new laws and regulations politicians are now trying to kill even that (with age verification laws, outlawing consumer rights to repair, online censorship, etc). EVERY FUCKING ASPECT OF SOCIETY IS BROKEN IN THE USSA TODAY.
