Maybe. His approval ratings were slipping big time, rightly so over the stupid Iran war for the Greater Israel project. Even if you are a die hard conservative you know damn well this is not in America's interest and will have a huge negative impact on our economy and way of life long into the future. Was it a set-up to boost his ratings and support for the war? Maybe.
