I use the Lake CX201 for my very wide sandal-using feet and they are by far the best I've tried, though pretty expensive at 250e. There's some sizes left on the netherlands site, for length my foot size would probably be a 44 but I use a 45.5 on these.

theres also very retarded rules in place for volunteers who want to ride on a motorbike (needing to pay their own fines for driving through a redlight, even if the road is locked down)
NATO in The Hague raped the schedule of all police officers in NL causing them to schedule all their days off afterwards, so we can barely get any police to lock down a road

subsequently this has lead to races coverting to a parcours with only local laps going away from a proper A to B ride, companies are also less willing to sponsor races so funding is drying up

on top of that amount of talent in NL has gotten lower and lower - why send out your kid in a deathcrash sport with a high financial entrypoint if you want to keep up, only those who have had family riding races or have family at (pro) teams or clubs will get their children on a bike racing
