We can all agree that this show has gone down the drain, right?

In the last episode (S6E4) we were treated to an all out feminist takeover:
Jon had to be convinced by Sansa to fight and retake Winterfell
Theon sobbingly asked for forgives and wants to help his sister rule the Ironborn
Margaery was the only one able to keep her cool and had to comfort her crying brother
Cersei & Olenna managed to get Kevan to cave in to their scheme to save Margaery from prison
Dany single-handedly killed a handful of khals by burning them alive, and is likely to be worshipped by the rest of the Dothraki

Not to mention the Sand Snakes killing the Prince of Dorne and his son with no repercussions in the season six première.

There’s also the fact that with very few exceptions, every male character is now as boring, incompetent or downright evil:
Sam is an actual cuck, taking care of Gilly and her son
Jon is the worst case of a Mary Sue other than Dany, with plot armour so thick not even death could keep him down for long
Tyrion has gone from a loveable rouge, to a boring comic relief, struggling to keep Dany’s reign from coming to an end
Jorah was always a bit of a sap, but now he’s downright pathetic
Jaime was always an unlikeable cunt
The Hound got his ass kicked by Brienne and was last seen begging Arya to kill him
The Mountain is reduced to a zombie doing Cersei’s dirty work with no will of his own
Ramsay is too much of a cartoon villain at this point to be taken seriously – they really want the audience to hate this guy

The only male characters left to give a damn about would be Littlefinger, Tormund & Qyburn

Also, RIP Osha ;_;

I know it sucks so bad that the shows producers felt the need to hijack the show and try and appease the feminists. I think they were trying to make reperations after the cries of "muh rape culture" from people who don't even watch the show. That's the strategy though. Let a man create something brilliant then turn it into feminist shit.

If only GRRM didn't write at a snail's pace...
Maybe then D&D would be less likely to come up with shit on their own.

No Tywin. No Hound. No Stannis. No Roose. Boring one handed Jaime. Even Tyrion has nothing to do.

They've killed most of the interesting characters and reduced the remaining ones to extras in the Dany and Jon Snow show.

Jon Snow hasn't been interesting since he provided a reason to get that wilding redhead to strip.

I never found the magic parts to be the least interesting in GoT - the prophecy stuff, the white walkers, the dragons… I always felt that distracted from the battles and the scheming.

Is there any film, show or book that focuses on something like the Wars of the Roses, without all the magic BS?

The only documentary I’ve seen on the topic is ‘The Real White Queen and Her Rivals’ by BBC.

Looks like the big battle between the Starks (Tudor/Lancaster) and the Boltons (York) this season will be based on the Battle of Bosworth Field, with Littlefinger being the Stanley family.

Got used to be good, right? Part of me wants to go back and watch the early seasons again to make sure I'm remembering correctly.

Doesn't help that GRRM is siding with the Tor clique in the whole Hugos thing. I bet he applied a little pressure himself.

Aye. I don't think it fell apart till after season four.

Season five was when D&D started changing things around, divirging from the books.

Season six has been nothing but utter garbage so far, and this latest episode (5), is the worst episode yet. Not even Richard Grant's cameo could save it.

Unless Littlefinger's got something big up his sleeve and was playing Sansa, they might as well kill him off now.

Arya was unbearable as always, and fuck them for killing off Hodor - god fucking dammit!

Fuck it, we should make our own GoT - with blackjack and hookers.

Clearly Littlefinger wrote the ‘pink letter’ in order to set up Jon and his wildling army to fight the Boltons at Winterfell.

When he met with Robyn in episode four, he said “My Lord, come and see,” as he presented Robyn with the gift – the falcon. The pink letter ends on the same words, ‘come and see.’

It was probably on his request that Rickon & Osha got sent to Winterfell as prisoners as well.

His encounter with Sansa in episode five was clearly him planting a few seeds of doubt in her mind, and making her act as he wants – seek out the Tullys in Riverrun.

Will do, man! Thanks for the heads up - looks like it just what I was looking for.

I don't think I'll even bother with GoT any longer, the last episode was deus ex machina out the arse.

the last episode was shit, worst of the season

Why was half the episode spent on this guy and his wife? They don't matter anymore.

They needed some filler to hold back the return of the Hound and the 'Battle of the Bastards'.

Nein. He did however play the pope of season 2 The Tudors (booooooooooooring).

Jeremy Irons plays the Borgia pope, Rodrigo Borgia, Pope Alexander VI.

So... How 'bout that season finale, huh?

Easily the best episode this season - not that that says a lot, but still.

Only thing that really took me out of it was Arya killing Walder Frey. Not only did she fully recover from getting slashes and stabbed in the gut by a trained assassin, whom she also defeated, get a pardon from said assassin's 'employer', but now she is fucking running around in Westeros killing people left and right, wearing other people's faces? Get the fuck outta here!

Al hail Queen Cersei!
Long may she reign

I was considering not watching the next season but they changed up enough stuff that I'm interested in what happens next. Hopefully the rumors are true about there being less episodes in the coming seasons.

I didn't like the Arya part either. I got a little angry when she was unmasked. The CG in this show sucks. The explosion looked awful. And I still don't care about Sam and his girl. I also hate that old Tyrell lady. Maybe I won't watch the next season.

Funnily enough I’ve heard people praise the CGI – especially in episode 9, with Dany & the dragons – which I thought looked fake as fuck. Same with Jon getting ready to an hero as the Bolton cavalry charged at him – couldn’t have been more obvious greenscreen.

Next season will only have seven episodes. Not sure if I’ll continue watching either – not sure how much more Mary Sue with her three dragons and massive army; Gary Stu, King of the North; Arya assassinating everyone like a fucking Assassins Creed game, or the further adventures of Sam the cuck as he studies to become a maester whilst raising his girlfriend’s(?) kid, I can take…

Besides, I’ve got like five seasons of Xena to get through, and I’m gonna give the Borgias a watch.

Came across 'The Long Night Podcast' that might be of interest to y'all.

Their episode on 'Battle of the Bastards': https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9yMcAQvyQDY

Two book fans, and former show fans, trash the show episode by episode.
