The Secret Speech of General Chi Haotian

In 2005, THE EPOCH TIMES acquired a secret speech given by Defense Minister Chi Haotian to high-level Communist Party Cadres sometime before his retirement in 2003. Details given in Chi’s speech coincide with previously unpublished defector testimony on Sino-Russian military plans.

I’m very excited today, because the large-scale online survey sina.com that was done for us showed that our next generation is quite promising and our party’s cause will be carried on. In answering the question, “Will you shoot at women, children and prisoners of war,” more than 80 percent of the respondents answered in the affirmative, exceeding by far our expectations.

Today I’d like to focus on why we asked sina.com to conduct this online survey among our people. My speech today is a sequel to my speech last time, during which I started with a discussion of the issue of the three islands, [where I] mentioned that 20 years of the idyllic theme of “peace and development” had come to an end, and concluded that modernization under the saber is the only option for China’s next phase. I also mention we have a vital stake overseas. Today, I’ll speak more specifically on these two issues.

The central issue of this survey appears to be whether one should shoot at women, children and prisoners of war, but its real significance goes far beyond that. Ostensibly, our intention is mainly to figure out what the Chinese people’s attitude toward war is: If these future soldiers do not hesitate to kill even non-combatants, they’ll naturally be doubly ready and ruthless in killing combatants. Therefore, the responses to the survey questions may reflect the general attitude people have towards war.

Actually, however, this is not our genuine intention. The purpose of the CCP Central Committee in conducting this survey is to probe people’s minds. We wanted to know: If China’s global development will necessitate massive deaths in enemy countries, will our people endorse that scenario? Will they be for or against it?

As everybody knows, the essence of Comrade Xiaoping’s thinking is “development is the hard truth.” And Comrade Jintao, has also pointed out repeatedly and emphatically that “development is our top priority,” which should not be neglected for even a moment. But many comrades tend to understand “development” in its narrow sense, assuming it to be limited to domestic development. The fact is, our “development” refers to the great revitalization of the Chinese nation, which, of course, is not limited to the land we have now but also includes the whole world...

Poll Shows Most Consumers Do Not Want Government Mandating Electric Vehicles

Joe Biden's government is working on two unconstitutional regulations that would make it next to impossible for people to buy a combustion-engine car by 2032, a move that defies the foundation of free market capitalism, consumer choice.

A firm majority of the country opposes these policies, and that opposition is growing.

According to a Pew Research Center poll released last week, almost 60% oppose “phasing out the production of new gasoline cars and trucks by 2035.” Opposition has grown by 7 percentage points in just two years.

Biden’s policy would FORCE automakers to ensure that 67% of all new vehicles sold were electric vehicles by 2032.

Pew did not mention it to respondents, but there is simply no way automakers will be able to obtain all the necessary rare earth minerals needed to produce that many electric vehicles in less than a decade. Neither will automakers be able to install the charging station capacity to keep that many electric vehicles running.

If the flawed-proposed regulations do become law, the cost of both electric vehicles and combustion-engine cars will skyrocket. The cost of electric vehicles will go up as the rare earth minerals needed for their batteries rises as supply dwindles. The cost of combustion engine cars will rise because automakers won’t be allowed to manufacture enough to meet demand. It will be a completely government-created disaster.

This of-course is their long-term plan, to restrict America's freedom to travel and force people to become more dependent on an endless bureaucracy that dictates how far individuals can travel, when where and how. The very opposite freedom America has enjoyed for over 100 years today.

Be assured there is very little the deeply corrupted Congress will do to stop Biden’s costly electric vehicle mandates from being implemented. Only a new president might reverse Biden’s new anti-consumer anti-American regulations.

It is not an understatement to say that the 2024 election will determine whether or not the working class can buy a car in 2032.

Louisiana Judge Rules US Government Collusion With Social Media Censorship Is "Orwellian", Unconstitutional

In an order fittingly issued on Independence Day, a federal judge in Louisiana has forbidden multiple federal agencies and named officials from having any contact with social media companies with the intent to moderate content.

The preliminary injunction arises from a suit filed by the states of Missouri and Louisiana, along with individuals that include two leading critics of the Covid-19 lockdown regime - Harvard's Martin Kulldorff and Stanford's Jay Bhattacharya - and Jim Hoft, who owns the right-wing website Gateway Pundit.

“If the allegations made by plaintiffs are true, the present case arguably involves the most massive attack against free speech in United States’ history,” wrote US District Judge Terry A. Doughty. “The plaintiffs are likely to succeed on the merits in establishing that the government has used its power to silence the opposition.”

It is entirely appropriate that the judge in Missouri v. Biden issued an injunction against the Biden Administration's "Ministry of Truth" on July 4th.

The dozens of people and agencies bound by the injunction include President Biden, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, the Food and Drug Administration, Centers for Disease Control, the Treasury Department, State Department, the US Election Assistance Commission, the FBI and entire Justice Department, and the Department of Health and Human Services.

While the case is dominated by Covid-19 censorship, it also encompasses the Justice Department's efforts to suppress reporting about Hunter Biden's "laptop from hell" in the run-up to the 2020 election. Doughty gave credence to that accusation.

The injunction represents a major validation of accusations that government officials have colluded with social media platforms to suppress speech that counters official narratives, with the restraints falling almost exclusively on the exposure of corruption.

"The evidence thus far depicts an almost dystopian scenario," wrote Doughty in a 155-page ruling. "During the COVID-19 pandemic, a period perhaps best characterized by widespread doubt and uncertainty, the United States Government seems to have assumed a role similar to an Orwellian 'Ministry of Truth'."

"The White House defendants made it very clear to social-media companies what they wanted suppressed and what they wanted amplified," wrote Doughty. "Faced with unrelenting pressure from the most powerful office in the world, the social-media companies apparently complied."

A long list of agencies and people are now barred from contacting social media platforms with “the purpose of urging, encouraging, pressuring, or inducing in any manner the removal, deletion, suppression, or reduction of content containing protected free speech.”

"If there is a bedrock principal underlying the First Amendment, it is that the government may not prohibit the expression of an idea simply because society finds the idea itself offensive or disagreeable," wrote Doughty.

After Third World Migrants Riot & Destroy French Cities, French Government Will Spy On All Citizens

Cops in France have been granted the authority to remotely activate a suspect's cellphone camera, microphone and GPS, after the passage of a provision in a wider "justice reform bill" on Wednesday night.

The bill allows the geolocation of suspects, covering other devices like laptops, cars and connected devices, just as it could be remotely activated to record sound and images of people suspected of terror offences, as well as delinquency and organised crime.

According to French digital rights advocacy group, La Quadrature du Net, the provisions "raise serious concerns over infringements of fundamental liberties," and violate the "right to security, right to a private life and to private correspondence" and "the right to come and go freely."

The group called it part of a "slide into heavy-handed security" but face it, France is a manufactured-destabilized police state.

Lawmakers defended the move - with Justice Minister Eric Dupond-Moretti insisting that the bill would only apply to "dozens of cases a year," while members of parliament inserted an amendment inserted an amendment which only allows the remote spying "when justified by the nature and seriousness of the crime" and "for a strictly proportional duration" after a judge has approved the surveillance.

Last month, the Senate gave the green light to the provision of the justice bill, which would allow law enforcement to secretly activate cameras and microphones on a suspect’s devices.

Since 2015, when terrorist attacks rocked France, the country has increased its surveillance powers, and the “Keeper of the Seal” bill has been likened to the infamous US Patriot Act.

Of note, France's dystopian law is similar to those used by the US FBI in the wake of 9/11, when the government's use of "roving bugs" came to light in a court case involving an organized crime family.

USSA District Judge Lewis A. Kaplan rejected defendants’ arguments that “roving bugs” violated their constitutional rights, noting the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in 1993 upheld the roving wiretap statute in an identical legal challenge.

The cuts, due to take effect when current contracts end next June, mean considerable shrinking for some departments. Neuhouser said his department of six faculty members will be cut by half.
“It’s devastating,” he said.
The sociology department will not be able to offer the same range of majors and minors. For instance, it now offers a major in sociology and criminology, but it can only offer one of those with half the faculty.
When the cuts kick in, SPU will be smaller. Yet to be decided, Neuhouser said, is what kind of smaller university it will be. “We don’t know who we are,” he said.
“Some days I’m hopeful and some days I’m not,” Neuhouser added.
On the positive side, he said, are dedicated faculty who, for the most part, love what they do. “Our students get the best we can give them.”
A new president, Deana Porterfield, is coming in July, Neuhouser also noted. Porterfield, the just-departed head of Roberts Wesleyan University in Rochester, N.Y., may not settle the controversy about SPU’s hiring policy.
But Neuhouser said he hopes she will have pragmatic strategies for turning around the decline.
Overstreet agreed. “She has a record of helping institutions in financial difficulty,” he said. “We are hoping in her we are going to find some real leadership.”
Meanwhile, Steele is meeting next week with deans to discuss how they will decide who gets laid off.

In his first public interview since being fired from Fox News, Tucker Carlson sat down with none other than Russell Brand on Rumble.

He began by explaining why he chose to launch his show on Twitter:

The whole interview is fascinating, but one section in particular is key, when discussed the events of January 6th.

As a reminder, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy had released 40,000 hours of video footage from the riot - which Carlson had begun airing on Fox News - much of which suggested a different narrative than the craven mob of killers the Democrats and their State-run media have claimed.

“I interviewed the chief of the Capitol Police, Steven Sund, in an interview that was never aired on Fox, by the way — I was fired before it could air, I’m gonna interview him again,” Carlson said.

“But Steven Sund was the totally non-political, worked for Nancy Pelosi, I mean, this was not some right-wing activist. He was the chief of Capitol Police on January 6, and he said, ‘Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, that crowd was filled with federal agents.’ What? ‘Yes.’ Well he would know, of course, because he was in charge of security at the site.”

“So, the more time has passed... it becomes really obvious that core claims they made about January 6 were lies,” Carlson explained.

Roots alleged there were eight FBI human sources embedded among the Proud Boys on Jan. 6, along with 13 undercover plain-clothes DC Metro Police agents. FBI whistleblower George Hill alleged during a February interview with the House Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government that the field office in Washington may have had “undercover officers” and “confidential human sources” inside the Capitol on Jan. 6.

Russian State TV Announces New BRICS Gold-backed Currency In The Works

According to state-run Russian Television (RT), the Russian Government HAS CONFIRMED Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, known as the "BRICS" nations, will introduce a new trading currency backed by Gold.

The official announcement is expected during the upcoming BRICS Summit in South Africa, this August.

If this takes place, it will likely mark the end of "fiat" currencies like the US Dollar, which is backed by nothing.

How fast nations around the world switch to using this new gold-backed currency for their foreign trade, is anyone's guess.

The more countries that choose to use this new currency, the more foreign-held US Dollars will come rushing back to the USA from those countries, which no longer need to hold US Dollars for their foreign trade. As those Dollars come back to the USA, it will cause inflation to spike in ways never-before seen here in America.

The US manufactures almost nothing here anymore. Almost everything we buy and sell in the USA is made overseas. As US dollars come flooding back from overseas, the value of the US dollar will plummet versus other currencies, which means it will take many more US Dollars to buy goods from foreign countries.

Hence, sudden and dramatic inflation here at home.

It is worth pointing out that the US has, on more than one occasion, gone to actual WAR to stop this exact thing from taking place in the past. Two recent examples would be Libya and Iraq.

In Libya, Mohamar Qadaffi wanted to create a gold-back Pan-African currency. Within a month of his announcement, there were riots and uprisings in Libya that ultimately resulted in Qadaffi being mobbed and brutally killed in the streets.

Iraq made a similar effort under Saddam Hussein. He announced that Iraq would begin selling oil in currencies OTHER THAN the US Dollar, which sent the US to Iraq War 2, toppling Hussein from power. Ultimately, Hussein was found hiding in a hole in the ground, was arrested, tried, and HUNG BY HIS NECK until dead.

The US is already itching to go to war with Russia over the Ukraine conflict. With today's announcement about a Gold-Backed BRICS trading currency, it seems logical that the US "gloves" will come off.

If Russia and the BRICS Nations do what they have announced, it would mean the total collapse of US world dominance. There are many people inside the US Government that would rather burn the entire world to the ground, rather than lose control of it.

The Graveyard Of Empires: What To Expect As The Unipolar World Order Collapses

The Taliban often referred to this old Afghan saying when discussing their fight against the Americans.

Ultimately, they were proven correct.

After almost two decades of conflict, an insurgent army from one of the world’s poorest nations inflicted a decisive military defeat on the US, the global superpower that upholds the unipolar world order.

The US government’s total failure in Afghanistan — the longest war in American history — signifies a crucial moment and turning point in world history.

The Soviet Union collapsed about two years after the Red Army was defeated and withdrew from Afghanistan.

As we approach the second anniversary of the American retreat, could a similar fate be in store for the US?

While nobody knows the future, there is an excellent chance that the colossal failure in Afghanistan could accelerate the unraveling of the geopolitical power of the US and the shift to a multipolar world order.

Afghanistan’s strategic position has always made it a coveted prize in the Eurasian landscape.

As shown in the image below, Afghanistan is situated in the center of Eurasia, at the crossroads of China, Iran, and Russia—the three primary challengers to the US-led world order.

This central location is why Afghanistan has enormous geopolitical importance and why the US desired a strategic military presence there.

The US military’s presence in Afghanistan was a strategic roadblock to Russia, China, and Iran’s goal of creating a powerful geopolitical group in Eurasia that could challenge the US-led world order.

However, with the Taliban forcing the US military out of Afghanistan, the door to a more coherent geopolitical alliance in Eurasia is now wide open.

China, Russia, and Iran are constructing a vast network of land-based transportation infrastructure, making the US Navy’s control of the oceans less significant.

China’s New Silk Road project is central to this new system. It aims to bypass the US financial system and the US Navy’s control of sea routes. The project, planned to be operational by 2025, includes high-speed railways, highways, fiber optic cables, energy pipelines, seaports, and airports.

These Eurasian powers are also establishing alternative international organizations for financial, political, and security cooperation, separate from those central to the US-led world order, institutions like NATO, the World Bank, SWIFT, and the IMF.

If current trends continue, it will result in greater economic, political, and security collaboration among the three main Eurasian nations—China, Russia, and Iran—at the expense of US geopolitical interests.

This scenario is exactly what Zbigniew Brzezinski worried would make the US “geopolitically peripheral.” It spells the end of the unipolar world order.

In short, we are on the path to the emergence of an alliance of powerful Eurasian countries and a multipolar world order.

As the world order changes, I think there are two prominent investment outcomes we can bet on:

Outcome #1: The US Dollar Will Lose Its Privileged Position

The decline of America’s geopolitical influence is another enormous headwind for the US dollar.

Suppose the world thinks the US military is the ultimate backstop of the US dollar. What does it mean for the US dollar’s credibility when a ragtag group of insurgents from one of the poorest countries can defeat the military which backs it?

If the mighty US military couldn’t secure its partners in Afghanistan, how can it protect its other allies?

Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Western European countries, and the Gulf Arab states are likely pondering this.

It wouldn’t be surprising to see them make security arrangements with US adversaries—such as China, Russia, and Iran—that exclude the Americans.

In fact, this has already happened with Saudi Arabia, a crucial player in the US-led world order. Saudi Arabia is the linchpin of the petrodollar system, which has underpinned the US dollar since Nixon removed its last links to gold in 1971.

In a matter of weeks, Saudi Arabia has: Restored relations with Iran. Restored relations with Syria and welcomed it back to Arab League. Supported multiple OPEC+ oil production cuts against American wishes. Announced an end to the war in Yemen. Agreed to sell oil in other currencies. Decided to join the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

The US recently sent its CIA director to Riyadh to tell the Saudis the Americans feel “blindsided” amid these seismic shifts in Saudi foreign policy.

In short, a paradigm shift in Saudi policies signifies a paradigm shift in the US dollar because of the petrodollar system.

However, Saudi Arabia is not the only US ally hedging its geopolitical bets recently. France, India, Japan, Mexico, Brazil, and others are making moves to cozy up to the Eurasian geopolitical block.

The big question is, how long will the world continue to hold the paper liabilities of a bankrupt and declining government?

The only reason the US government has managed to avoid severe consequences from its monetary policies is the US dollar’s status as the world’s premiere reserve currency, thanks to Washington’s military and economic dominance that has prevailed since the end of World War II. However, as this dominance wanes, so will the dollar’s purchasing power.

The US government’s ability to hide the effects of its rampant money printing by offloading trillions of dollars to foreigners is nearing its end.

That’s terrible news for the US dollar.

Fake money comes from government. Real money emerges from the market. Government currencies are terrible money because they are easy to produce with a potentially unlimited supply. The free market wouldn’t choose government confetti as money without laws forcing their use.

Outcome #2: Commodity Supply Disruption

The end of the unipolar world order means transitioning to a multipolar global trade regime—with serious implications for commodities.

As I see it, there will be two main geopolitical blocks.

First, there are the countries part of or allied with the West. I’m reluctant to call this block “the West” because the people who control it have values antithetical to Western Civilization.

The other block consists of Russia, China, Iran, and other countries favorable to a multipolar world order.

Let’s call them the BRICS+, which stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, and other interested countries.

Algeria, Argentina, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belarus, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, the UAE, Venezuela, Zimbabwe, and numerous others have expressed interest in membership of BRICS.

BRICS+ is not a perfect label, but it’s a decent representation of the countries favorable to the multipolar world order.

While there already is friction in free trade — sanctions, tariffs, export bans, nationalizations, embargoes, strategic competition, etc. — between NATO/West and BRICS+, I expect it to grow substantially as the multipolar world order emerges.

That will have serious consequences for commodities, which BRICS+ dominates.

As tensions between NATO & Friends and BRICS+ continue to rise, I expect it to disrupt commodity trade between the two further.

Supply disruptions mean higher prices. That’s an outcome I think we can bet on.

I expect countries in both geopolitical blocks will increasingly focus on securing critical commodities and ensuring access to stable supplies.

Unfortunately, most people have no idea what really happens when the world order changes, let alone how to prepare…

The coming crisis will be much worse, much longer, and very different than what we’ve seen since World War II.

Countless millions throughout history were wiped out financially — or worse — as the world order changed because they failed to see the correct Big Picture and take appropriate action.

As they sit around doing nothing, on the public dole, they SEE, with their own eyes, all the nicer things that OTHER people have. They SEE the $1,000 Apple iPhones, the expensive sneakers, fine leather shoes, comfortable work boots, nice clothing. They SEE the upkeep of the homes in the area, the big screen TV's the fine stereos. They SEE the new cars, trucks, especially the finer ones, and they KNOW they don't have any of those things, and start to realize they NEVER WILL.

So they sit around and realize they are unemployable, and without work - which they cannot or will not do -- they have no chance at all of getting any of those finer things. Their jealousy and envy drives them to more and more anger. They start to hate.

Sooner or later, the seething hits boiling because their backwards customs, lack of self-discipline or work ethic, lousy personal hygiene and the like, keeps them OUT of civilized society. They realize they cannot get ahead.

So they sit and seethe until they explode in violence, and wreck the nation that allowed them in.
