Movie Lists Critic 05/04/2021 (Tue) 04:01:33 [Preview] No. 754 [Reply] [Last 50 Posts]
I've been bunch of interesting movie suggestions from different sources lately. Here are a couple that have led me to some good (and some not so good) movies that I've never seen before. For example, movies by budget:
www.the-numbers.com/movie/budgets/all

I like perusing that for movies that didn't cost much on but earned a ton. That's often an indication that there's something worth checking out there. For example, Dr. Strangelove, Carrie, and Taxi Driver cost under $2M each. Hellraiser (remember Pinhead?) only $1M. Evil Dead, the crazy awesome horror flick with Bruce Campbell and a chainsaw on his arm that helped inspire Id Software's Doom game - only $375K.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_banned_films
en.wikipedia.org and
/wiki/List_of_films_banned_in_the_United_States
are also pretty good.
Check out Ireland's list of banned movies. Lol.

Another interesting one is filmsite.org's Top 100 lists organized by year. 1977, for example, includes Airport 77 "I picked a bad day to stop snorting cocaine." "Excuse me, do you speak Jive?", Annie Hall, Eraserhead, High Anxiety, and a number of foreign films.
Their selection is all over the place, from mainstream to cult and underground. Deep Throat and Deliverance are on the list for 1972, along with Fritz the Cat and Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Sex* *but were afraid to ask.

Amazon’s The Lord of the Rings TV series Critic 04/28/2021 (Wed) 17:36:14 Id: df5451 [Preview] No. 752 [Reply] [Last 50 Posts]
are they really planning on putting sex & nudity into the show?

Critic 05/04/2021 (Tue) 02:46:18 [Preview] No.753 del
Don't know why they wouldn't. Game of Thrones was basically Game of Tits for the first 2-3 seasons before they finally figured out that the story was good enough that people wanted to see Maise skewer a motherfucker even more than her tits, but formula producers gonna formula produce.

The Frugal Gourmet (mp4) FIXED Critic 06/02/2018 (Sat) 00:46:53 Id: debb63 [Preview] No. 552 [Reply] [Last 50 Posts]
The Frugal Gourmet (#F!awt3wTjS!nQsYgdo_u-Yh0vLA-ohcIA)

The Frugal Gourmet was a classic cooking show that first aired in the late 70s on WTTW in Chicago. Later, re-airing nationally on PBS from 1983 to 1997.

There are no DVDs of this show in existence. Old VHS recordings were uploaded to Youtube a while back ago, but Google Inc. shut it all down. Fortunately for us, I have it all backed up.

All the episodes will be mirrored below in timely fashion, many of them come in two parts. A few special holiday episodes come in three or four parts.

Expect around 4 to 5 episodes mirrored per day until uploading is finished. (This show is also currently being shared via the P2P client Soulseek!)

Thats it folks. This is the entire collection I have of the Frugal Gourmet. Currently this show is being shared via Soulseek as well (a free and easy to use P2P client). Hope you enjoy the show and if so please feel free to share these episodes. They are hard to find.

Do you have Vincent Schiavelli's PBS cooking show from 1999? It was called "Chefs of Cucina Amore".
