Терефталат натрия действительно восстанавливается на свинце в карбоксибензиловый спирт. Есть даже патент. Но там нужна буферная добавка типо борной кислоты или чего нибудь еще. Так как при восстановлении моля терефталата натрия обрзуется моль щелочи. Ее надо гасить и поддерживать рН. Иначе восстановление в кольцо пойдет

Но что дальше делать с этим спиртом не понятно. Предлагается его перевести в бензилхлорид и восстановить ни цинке. Как то геморойно.

В Губене ссылаются на работу 150 летней давности где в соляной кислоте цинковая пыль восстанавливает диметилтерефталат в продукты гидрирования кольца. Но там так же образуется много побочной толуиловой кислоты. Ту, которая так вожделенна

You and me, even if we are good beings, probably, we will have some small/big disagreements in terms of ideas/theory of justice. The complexity grows exponentially if we add more beings into it... Long story short, my point of view is that, even the more advanced humans (at individual or collective level) are not near close to have a fully developed mental capability, that it is necessary to handle all the things needed in order to have a fully functional/acceptable system of justice; we need to be really advanced gods.
Normal people easily create fair/karmic problems trying to solve personal/individual issues, subsequently creating a snow ball effect that entangles other innocent individuals.

Romans 10:

14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

16 But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?” 17 Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ. 18 But I ask: Did they not hear? Of course they did:

“Their voice has gone out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.”

19 Again I ask: Did Israel not understand? First, Moses says,
