ASIC registration is yearly, they oversee compliance standards within Australian industry. They accused this company of not making their forecasts transparent, which they did and lost shareholders capital.
ASIC should be free to accuse and investigate any company, but this sets a precedent that an investigation can result in the regulator being sued if it comes back clear (like this case with a mong judge).
