There's a fanfic or something I've always debated writing, or at least dabbling in. Something along the lines of Lola trying to make a comeback in her career, which is in its "has been" days, only to be saddled with full time custody of Leia.

I know I've lost someone just now with that because it takes place in a non-incest timeline. The idea kinda started with the thought of Lola living with Meli and Cricket and Leia showing up one day because her dad (Lola's ex from a failed marriage) got arrested for embezzlement or something along those lines.

Returning writers include Drayvor, who's added new chapters to both Living Loud and Love Hurts. Lalofics who had completed his Gloom x Lemy fanfic "La familia Forrester" on the 31st. and finally, Word_N_Scribbler over on AO3 with "Lupa On The Lake"

I think the idea of Luna (and Lincoln, if he goes with her) trying to sneak back in late at night all while her kids are sleeping, and eventually getting caught is kind of neat. I had an idea about how she would keep her rock career a secret instead of doing her usual flaunting because she thinks she'd be a bad influence on Lemy and Lyra. I've seen tons of fics were her kids are an afterthought to her career. Yet, I haven't seen anything about her being a "Secret" rock mom who puts her children first.

I was part of the initial discussions. It stuck with me because I've always had an interest in solo verses, but I've never come up with a good one for Lyra. Something like Luna moonlighting as a rockstar appeals cause everyone has a chance for character arcs.

I like the idea that Lyra came around during her initial stay with the band. Lyra's conception could be interpreted differently. But, for example, I'd take the Lori trope and say she came home Drunk and horny, which results in her and Lincoln eloping. I know, very creative.

Moving on, she's now pregnant. Her band's status is merely Local popularity. Basement shows, maybe local pubs, concerts at the park, etc... Whatever small town bands do these days. She could probably continue to play up until three or so months of pregnancy. Then quit, or have a mutual agreement between the band to split.

Just an idea I had: Luna sells her guitar and other stuff for baby funds. Feels sad about it at first, but the pain ebbs with time. Fast forward a decade or more, Luna suddenly sees her very same guitar for same in a window or something and it reawakens her desire to perform. A decent starting port in a hypothetical story. Or a starting point for a timeskip after Lyra is born.

I think the idea would benefit from a bit of an age progression/time skip. Having Luna focus on Lyra, and eventually Lemy first before going back into her rock roots. But I like it. Luna having shelved away the idea of reforming her old band to take care of her kid. Years later, whenever that may be, she's on a walk with her younglings when she spots her guitar in a Pawn Shop, or something to that effect. I could also see her wanting to do this stuff pre-Lemy, and him being born as a result of a crazy night out. All while Lyra's being Babysat by her grandparents, and/or a sister.

Guilty as charged, though I did watch the newest episode that was the start of the Bobby-Lori breakup arc. I hope they get back together, but if not it's total Casagrandes death. In the fictional aspect I tend to lean toward a soft/yet strict Lori. I think HGrail21 portrayed her well in his "Christmas Gift" fic. That's a sort of Lori I'd like to see more of. Doesn't mean I dislike the "Bitch" Lori trope. But it's one of those things that I'd prefer to limit my consumption on. Tropes are like Junkfood.

Lemy knew that bad stuff could happen in a dark alley but no one ever said he was smart, so he went in happy to make a new friend. A guy about 18 stood by a trash can. Lemy grinned at him and walked over. "Hey man. How's it going?"

"Good" the guy said. He took a baggie out of his pocket. "Want to buy some weed?"

Lemy's eyes widened. He had heard lots of cool stuff about weed but never had it himself. His mom smoked it sometimes but she was dumb and never let him have any. "Sure" Lemy said and started to get excited. "How much?"

"50 dollars."

"50 dollars? That's crazy."

"Take it or leave it. I'll even roll you a joint for free."

Lemy didn't want to spend 50 dollars on weed but he couldn't pass up this opportunity. He forked over the money and ran home straight to the one person he wanted to share it with. His brother Lyle.

Lyle was sitting in his room. Lemy came in and explained what happened and Lyle grinned. "Dude awesome. Let's go smoke it."

They went outside and sat behind the shed. Lemy lit the joint and they passed it back and forth. The smell was strong and hurt his throat. It smelled like an Italian restaurant he went to once. Lyle coughed. "Is it supposed to taste like butt?"

"I don't know. You taste a lot of butts?"

"Shut up" Lyle said.

After a while Lemy really started to feel it. His head got woozy and he started laughing. "This is pretty cool" Lyle said. "My head feels spinny."

They laughed.

Soon a darkness fell on them and they looked up horrified to see their aunt Lana there. "What are you doing? Smoking weed?" She grabbed the joint away and Lemy and Lyle stammered for excuses. She sniffed the joint and frowned then took a puff and coughed. "This isn't weed, it's oregano." She looked at them like they were idiots. "Your not high. Your just stupid."

She dropped the weed and walked away. Lemy and Lyle looked at each other. "What did she say?" Lyle asked.

"She says it's not weed" Lemy said.

They both looked down at the ground. "Maybe we have to smoke more of it to get high" Lemy said

Lyle thought about that for a minute. "Yeah. Good idea."

Lyle picked up the joint and they started to smoke again.
