Time to list some must-see films I think anons should watch before SHTF.

What counts as a good film for me? Story must be intriguing and get you hooked. Acting must be good, believable and unique. Also, I prefer more realistic movies, but it doesn't have to be if the movie is a top notch classic with a great story and incredible acting.

Go ahead and make your own recommended lists if you like, and if you do, please post the titles and release dates!

I don't know what George Romero thought about it but I am a big fan of his original "living dead" series and I loved this film to death! It almost gives the vibe of being a prequel to "Dawn of the Dead" if you want to imagine what events may have happened right before that story took place.

Yeah it's a pretty good movie. I really like it. It's low budget but has a lot of soul in it. I think that was Romero's first film release too.

Night of the Living Dead (1968) was Romero's first zombie movie, followed by the sequels Dawn of the Dead (1978) and Day of the Dead (1985). He remade a few of these over the years but the remakes got nothing on the originals, all the originals top notch classics. I would also have to say Zombie (1979) was very good too and although it was not a Romero film it still had the same vibe and genre of Romero's original series and if no one knew any better could have easily passed as a sequel too.

The most ironic thing is low budgets do not make a movie bad. I have seen million dollar productions that flopped and end up being horrible. What makes a good movie is the dedication of the actors and a really good intriguing story line that keeps the viewers in suspense. Some of my favorite movies are ones without a popular celebrity and tend to be older independent low budget films.

Glowing platforms like Discord and Spotify are actively trying to mandate users dox themselves in order to use their shitty services. Users are pissed but will they DO ANYTHING to resist it!? Will they finally walk away to alternatives or will they cave like cowards and submit to handing out their personal information everywhere they go on the internet?

Very concerning times, the attack on our privacy is in full swing today. I'm not typically one who uses these services anyway but I did use Spotify for a while some years ago, that is until they banned me because my constant VPN use. After that I uninstalled their software from my OS and told them in an email to go fuck themselves, I'm going right back to p2p clients and downloading what I want to listen to. That is where mainstream corporate platforms ended for me.

So.... anyone here use these platforms that are now trying to actively dox you? If so, what you going to do about it? Will you ditch these corporate platforms and wait for free decentralized alternatives to appear? Or do you even care about privacy at all anymore?

100% agree anon, although I get my music from free p2p clients like SLSK and Fopnu. All these services today are rip-offs and even if they are free they act as gatekeepers for media content, silently controlling what you can or cannot find and listen to.

Don't believe me? Search Spotify for the 20 record VA "Black Acid" series, I bet you can't even find those old school rocking gems! Yet you can find pretty much anything on p2p networks, even the most obscure and forgotten stuff.

I have an offline laptop with Foobar 2000 installed on it with a 2TB harddrive loaded with tons of music, I can make playlists or random shuffle all of it, have it hooked to some bad ass Boss surround sound speakers with an amplifier. I plan on using it this coming weekend when I invite some friends over to drink. Fuck companies like spotify.

Don't let them get away with it. Boycott everything with age verification or mandatory digital ID. There are tons of decentralized alternative networks and we have the means to store and backup TONS of media and online content offline so they cannot control what we like to watch or listen to or read or study. There are even peer to peer chat & file sharing clients galore. Games and emulators, movies, music, tv shows, ebooks, audio books, DIY guides, porn, software, whatever. These greedy corporations wish to be the gatekeepers of all media and access to their hand-selected approved media. Fuck that.

I think you would have to be actively seeking that shit out to find it. Normal mainstream porn sites quickly take down illegal content and people will often report it too. Just stop looking for porn in very obscure shady websites and you won't run into it, unless it's spam that will quickly be taken down.

i actually disagree, its disgustingly easy to find child porn, even on sites like tiktok its viewable, and theres been multiple times where it was a 'trend' of sorts for people to set childporn as their pfp.
i remember there was a video of a kid fucking a chicken that they did it with, a vid of three kids doing stuff they did, megnutt when she was leaked at 16 or 17 hundreds of people set that as their pfp. and thats just tiktok, its even more rampent on instagram, twitter etc, etc.

CP may be easy to find IF actively looking for it, the internet is full of disgusting shit. But that is the whole point, unless you actively seek it out it is unlikely you will stumble upon it. Not once when I was looking at porn did I ever see CP. I only rarely see CP links posted as spam on these kind of image board sites, I always global report it and it gets taken down within hours. If you see it, report it. Don't actively hunt for that crap though, you might find yourself in deep trouble if you do actively look for it.
