Yah, revolutions cost money as with everything else. Almost every movement is funded by someone with a lot of money and with an interest or incentive to create something new. If you cannot get the money to fund your movement then you already lost.

The US government spent a lot of time and money on researching just that. They did successful revolutions (some of the color revolutions, arab spring), but they still haven't figured it out 100%.
Other states have even less grasp on the topic.
It is an interesting thought experiment however.

What one needs is dissatisfied people in a specific country. Can't really make revolution if you have 100 revolutionaries from 100 different countries.

There are, make no mistake, a handful of small survivalist communities across the US but they are rather paranoid and reserved when it comes to promoting themselves for obvious reasons. I'd say you would be far more likely traveling the country, meeting new people, talking face to face with random people on the road for a long time and being able to find a niche group that would possible befriend you overtime if you got to know the right people and they trusted you. You would have a better chance at that than trying to find anything legit being promoted on the internet or the dark web.

Here's the very real and scary threat to being "free" and semi-independent today.... once you expose an existence of such a group you WILL catch the eyes of the glowies and you WILL start to be monitored 24/7. If there is one thing the government hates is independent groups of people who want freedom and strive for self-sufficiency. Doesn't matter if you obey the laws or not. They want to know everything and control everything, they are obsessed about being a sole force of oppression.

Social media is so fake and gay OP. The real pleasure is meeting people IRL. The first difficulty most people have, sometimes I do myself, is to start a meaningful conversation. Once you get used to it and practice it becomes a little bit easier but the first time meeting someone is often a little bit awkward. When you do start getting to know someone it gets easy and can be a fun time talking and hanging out. Drinking may help but don't ever overdue it or drink too fast because that can ruin relationships as fast as you make them LOL!

Well almost, I have a few but that doesn't mean much, relative to how - I'm trying to say this without sounding like a total asshole - how skilled I am at certain things. It only takes one person working with you that could take you to another level in terms of reach. If they think you do everything alone you're worthless to most people. I still have friends I know from back in the day, thing is everyone seems so busy now. Not that I don't get to spend any time with them, on some occasions I do. Just not very frequently anymore now that we are all older. Same thing with relatives too, always so damn busy it's only once or twice a year we ever get together and mingle. Hell, I hear more from my nearby neighbors than I do from my friends and family these days. I do understand I have my own faults though, for example I've always been the "lush" of the family. That one uncle or brother who drinks too much LOL. Maybe it rubbed off on people over the years, don't really know, but even so it wouldn't surprise me since so many in society today walk around like they have sticks up their asses.

The problem is none of our politicians or so-called 'leaders' want diplomacy because they are lobbied by the military industrial complex aka war industry. Until we kick them out of office nothing matters, the wars will continue and the best thing to do is stay out of it, refuse to join the military or be conscripted. I have an idea for reform, but it will never happen by the way. Any politician who publicly supports a war should be drafted to the front lines first. The people, the citizens, then reserve the right to vote for or against the war. Those that vote for war can get drafted to fight. Those that vote against it cannot. This would stall hostility and conflict very quickly.

I am more fortunate than most people honestly and for now, things are pretty much back to normal with some unexpected expenses that needed to be paid off this year. I still suffer from alcoholism and depression, although at least I'm only a night time drinker. I try my best to limit my curiosity of "happenings" and news. It does no good for my psyche or mental health. I am focusing more on how to better my own life while I still have that luxury. As for faith I only have faith in knowing this life doesn't last forever, my bad habits have caught up with me and I'm getting weaker as time goes on. It is amazing to see some 80+ year olds today that are still live and kicking in far better health than I am in. I assume it's the alcohol abuse over the years. Overall though, I am thankful, I know people who had it far, far worse than I do, some who are now homeless and/or no longer alive, some who took their own lives too. Life hasn't been too bad to me and that I am thankful for.

Thank you for the kind words, but I don't really know if I "deserve" anything more than I am just one of the luckier ones born into an upper middle class suburban life and never really had to worry about becoming homeless or starving on skid row over my binge drinking and other bad habits. I really do think it was far more luck for me having loving parents who had money than really deserving anything, that's the truth. I am thankful I got to experience life offline growing up with real experiences and relationships. I got to know what it was like skipping school and hanging out with friends as a teenager drinking beer and getting stoned, and crashing parties at night when sneaking out to get wasted and laid. The "good 'ol days" that newer generations probably do not get to experience much of anymore. It seems like today less and less people find the time to hang out, everyone is super busy, we are all getting old, and now have health problems while the world just turns to dystopiac shit.

At least for now AI is just a tool. It is a very advanced tool that will change the way people use the internet and utilities overall but it is still a tool, it can be used for both good and evil and probably will be used for both. Citizens will mostly use it fore creativity and art while militaries and governments will use it to spy on and murder people. Of-course this is always the result in human history sadly.
